As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Fischer provides eye care for people ages teen to adult. She has been practicing ophthalmology in the Boston area since 1999. The scope of her practice includes routine eye exams, treating disease of the eye, performing various types of eye and eyelid surgery including cosmetic blepharoplasty and Botox Cosmetic treatments.

Dr. Fischer completed her medical training at Harvard Medical School, internship in Internal Medicine at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston and residency in ophthalmology at Washington University Eye Center in St Louis, MO. In 1999, Dr. Fischer joined a group practice at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA. In 2008, she formed her own practice, Fischer Eye Care, in Wellesley, MA.
In January 2022, Dr. Fischer affiliated with Eye Care and Laser Surgery of Newton-Wellesley, the practice of Dr. Marc Leibole. Her scope of practice includes general medical ophthalmology and surgery of the eyelid.

Dr. Fischer is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is on staff at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and SurgiSite Boston.
